Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Keokuk County Criminal History handles information when a visitor uses the site. It also explains the role of outside search providers, analytics services, cookies, and technical logs. Government records reached through official Iowa links remain under the practices and laws of those separate agencies. The site does not receive or store a reader's Keokuk County court file, arrest report, jail record, or DCI history merely because the reader follows an official link. Different terms apply after a visitor leaves this private resource.

Data You Give Us Directly

Information is collected when a visitor knowingly submits it through a feature on the site. That information can include an email address, name, or the text entered into an available field. Do not submit a criminal-history request to us because we do not hold Keokuk County government records.

Data We Gather Automatically

Ordinary technical data may be logged during a visit, including browser type, device type, general location derived from an IP address, referring page, pages viewed, and the date or length of a session. Cookies or similar tools may remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising or partner services.

What We Do With This Data

Technical and submitted data may be used to operate the site, maintain security, understand which pages are useful, improve content, and satisfy legal obligations. We do not use visitor data to create a Keokuk County criminal record or a consumer report.

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not maintain arrest files, court dockets, jail records, DCI rap sheets, warrant lists, or Iowa Sex Offender Registry profiles. Those records remain with the Keokuk County or Iowa office that created and maintains them under Iowa Code chapters 22 and 692 and other applicable law.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power some search tools and may collect information under their own privacy terms. We do not control their databases, prices, tracking methods, or results. Review the provider's privacy notice before entering information or buying a service.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Keokuk County government, Iowa Judicial Branch, Iowa DCI, Iowa DOC, registry, or another external service. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination site's policy governs its collection and use of data.

Who Might See Your Data

Information may be shared with service providers that host, secure, analyze, or support the site; with a successor in a business transfer; or when disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights and safety. We do not sell a file of a visitor's Keokuk County criminal history because no such file is held here.

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect data in our control. No online transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be secure, so absolute protection cannot be promised.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under eighteen.

Your Data Rights

Rights can vary by location and may include asking about personal data, requesting correction or deletion, or limiting certain processing. Iowa public-record rights under chapter 22 concern government custodians and do not turn this private site into a county records office. Browser controls can also restrict cookies.

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. The version posted here applies from July 23, 2026, and visitors should review it again after a later update.
